Sophie Kohrman

The business name Zosha Loochia comes from two namesakes of mine. My first name comes from my maternal great grandmother who came to the U.S. from Poland and changed her name from Zosia to Sophie to Americanize it, & my middle name comes from my paternal great grandmother, Lucille. I was affectionately nicknamed both 'Zosia' and 'Sophia Luchia' by my family growing up, so I combined those and changed the spelling to be phonetically read and aesthetically pleasing.

I've had a wide range of jobs throughout my adult life ranging from lifeguard, to emergency dispatcher, to social worker; but throughout it all, I've held a deep conviction of bringing beauty and meaning to every action & interaction. My life feels like a work of art and I express the spontaneity I see and embrace with the art I create. I took a GIANT risk after burning out from social work, and decided to quit '9-5 jobs,' work on my mental health & overall wellness, and now aim to spread my compassion and whimsicality to others through ART.

Please never dim your many colors and dimensions of beauty!

If you'd like to bring some of my colors into your world, take a look at my shop or request a custom piece!
